HOPE – four letters that can lift your heart in such a way that you feel you can conquer the world!  But, what does one do when the issue seems “hopeless”?  Have you ever known someone who is suffering yet smiling through it?  Could it be “hope” coming through?  Could it be a strength so powerful that you wonder how they could possible get through the difficult situation they are in?  My friends, I tell you, hope is not lost.  It is, by far, one of the greatest gifts from God!

John 5:6

Jesus appropriately asked, “Would you like to get well?” After 38 years, this man’s problem had become a way of life. No one had every helped him. He had no hope of every being healed and no desire to help himself. No matter how trapped you feel in your infirmities, God can minister to your deepest needs. Don’t let a problem or hardship cause you to lose hope. God may have special work for you to do in spite of your condition, or even because of it. Many have ministered effectively to hurting people because they have triumphed, with God’s help, over their own hurts.

Expectation of something desired
Look forward to

So what to do
When the expectation
And the desire Is unfulfilled?

Pray…
Ask for the strength
Needed to endure the test.

Pray…
Ask for the understanding
Needed to get through this.

Pray…
Ask for the help
Needed to deal with the struggles.

God promises the faithful
A never-ending future.
Hope is not lost.
